![]() ![]() You've mentioned various writing influences already, but Gibson is not one of them, yet I sense the underlying river of likeness in your universe, from which I think you've drawn lots of untouched scenarios and ideas that really relate to our contemporary times, bringing up the chance to improve on that universe, make it yours, and actually hit that goal: "cyberspace done right" as you mentioned before. I believe it’s because they tend to explore the human condition while having the liberty to traverse strange new worlds and are. I thought it super refreshing, and welcomed the enhanced "cyberspace" perspective that hit home so hard. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved the idea of aliens and other worlds, futuristic technology and time travel. I have been partial to William Gibson's books (avid fan), and when I bumped into yours (my daughter mentioned her friend's dad is a sci-fi author) I couldn't believe how you could have written such an on-track yet super-lively and fun to read story that feel within the cyberspace realm (granted I'm not an expert-well-read cyberspace genre consumer). Preface to my question: I've known there is a "cyberspace" genre, but wasn't all that aware of it as such. ![]() ![]() I read your novel some time ago, (of course, loved it, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here), and I was fortunate enough to have a sit down talk with you at the last Balticon, where we talked about your characters, the story arcs, etc. ![]()
